BACK TO THE FUTURE "doc am I my own father?"

The past never dies. If someone killed someone they won’t forget that action. If your family member dies you won’t forget that loved one. In Beloved it almost seems like the past revived itself when the girl named Beloved shows up to Sethe. In Piano Lesson the piano basically haunts the family until Berneice is finally forced to play the piano. Unless you get amnesia or die yourself the past never dies to you specifically. Even if you were to die other people will remember you for what you did and who you were, so in that aspect the past still never dies. A person’s past shapes what kind of person they are and how they shape their future and present. For example, in my life I had two dogs that brought me astounding joy until one day the fence was broken and they got loose. They got away and I never found them again and there was a period in time where I was extremely sad, however I moved on and got a new dog but still remember them in everything I see my new dog do. There are moments where I go “aww that’s just like what fox would do.”

Benchmark

The bench mark questions were difficult probably because we don't have a lot of practice with those kinds of questions or it may have been some of us (me) were just not having a good day. All the questions general asked the same thing, and it was what you could pull from the prose or poetry to the corresponding questions. I personally believe it was the multitude of similar answers that made it so difficult for us to get that most correct answer.
As for me specifically my goals are to become a better writer and compose my ideas in a more coherent essay.

debate?.... sure it was....

During today’s debate I honestly didn’t enjoy many portions of the entire ordeal. Throughout the entire process, I wanted to try (stressing try) and let everyone get credit and allow for their points to get across so we can apply it to our of debate, however I wasn’t allowed to get any of my ideas in. when I did have an opportunity to speak I was bombarded in this unorganized, almost vicious attack of ideals from every group member. Understanding this is a debate and it should be fast paced I know I should be able to compose coherent ideas and valid points quickly, however having this massive team of absolute anarchy made it rather difficult to maintain a straight head.
As for who won, I believe no one won. Yes that means you too Mr.Beddingfield. Our team had valid points but some of our arguments were so loose and dare I say penetrable. We didn’t have any concrete, airtight arguments that we could absolutely stand by. Mr.Beddingfield, you had arguments that were so easily countered and it almost seemed like you wanted to only counter us and rarely did you bring up points that I could see as a solid, flat out idea rather than you just arguing with us. From what I remember some points you brought up were the idea of stereotyping in the book and other books and actually I think that was it. Your staple was the idea of stereotyping in the novel. As for us well we didn’t do so hot either, our presentation from everyone who spoke we less than spectacular. (yea I understand my moment was awful) All and all I didn’t enjoy it, I think if it were smaller teams like 5 – 6 it would be much more organized and enjoyable.

Talking bout Mary Jane

To help my critique on Huck Finn the best article would be Toni Morrison but with her I can’t have any counter arguments because I agree with most of it, but with Jane smiley I feel as though I have more room to have a counter argument with myself. With this disagreement within myself I am able to create more compelling arguments. With Smiley I agree primarily with her opinion on society being such terrible place that a book can so easily be written to criticize society. I don’t agree with her style of reading Huck Finn, from what I can tell she seems to read Huck Finn with Huck being a heroic character. Personally I didn’t read Huck Finn where I position a BOY as a hero. This isn’t a story where there are fantasies and unicorns, no this is the story of a boy and a slave trailing the Mississippi river. In this book they address many issues of society but I couldn’t bring myself to read this book with Huck as a hero. So when Tom appears at the end of the novel I don’t see Hucks traits disappear, I see two children trying to save a friend in a childlike manner. In my read I depicted Jim as the actual hero and not some boy, Jim has the archetypal traits of a hero and many traits that are suited for a sidekick. He is kind and forgiving and helpful but he is still the person under Huck so still portrayed as a sidekick.

Got... milk

http://laughingsquid.com/milk-man-worlds-worst-superhero/

You can tell when the video is funny because they would be exaggerated.

such as having a super hero that spits milk as a power.

But because the previous video cannot play I am re-posting a video that can.

In the videos through the series for team four star you find the humor in
the parody of the old-timey animation.

Yo Twain

Dear Mr. Twain

Mr. Twain I have been reading your novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I have several issues to inquire about that I believe only you can address. When you created the character Mary Jane on a scale of one to ten what would you score her to be on the sense of how pretty she is? This is a very important bit of information for me to know. It just eats at me every time I read about her because you convey her to be so kind and innocent. For instance the scene where she cries because of how kind Huck when Huck gave her the note to find the money, usually sensitive characters whom are kind cry at the act of kindness. I would also like to support our method of conveying the idea of racism and slavery. Having the blunt truth I believe is the only way to allow for our society to understand the cruelty of it all. I also enjoy how you portray the human race as greedy and only rarely generous. Like in the scene when the real Wilks brothers show up and actually have to try to convince the crowd that they are real because the con artists are so greedy for all the money. Well please respond soon im still very curious about your thoughts on Mary Jane.

Sincerely Sage

Not be or to be that are the question

I see a trend of internal conflict with Huck. Although he says he’s going to be a murderer or a robber he seems too kind and conscience of others. His kindness is shown in the scene when the “Dauphin” and the “Duke” lie about being Peter WIlks’ brothers. This is when Huck realizes how disgusting humans are. I also notice a development in Jim as a character. In the scene in chapter 25 he doesn’t want to be tied up in the raft anymore so he is willing to walk throughout town in blue face. This shows how he as a human needs interaction. I also notice Huck’s development as a character. We begin to notice that he is a compassionate in chapter 5-20 with all the events that happen but it seems like in chapters 20-25 he begins to show his true colors; stating how he is ashamed of humans and feels sorry for the Wilks. All in all I like this book, I enjoy the message it conveys and the entertaining character, like the old man and “Duke.”
