BACK TO THE FUTURE "doc am I my own father?"

The past never dies. If someone killed someone they won’t forget that action. If your family member dies you won’t forget that loved one. In Beloved it almost seems like the past revived itself when the girl named Beloved shows up to Sethe. In Piano Lesson the piano basically haunts the family until Berneice is finally forced to play the piano. Unless you get amnesia or die yourself the past never dies to you specifically. Even if you were to die other people will remember you for what you did and who you were, so in that aspect the past still never dies. A person’s past shapes what kind of person they are and how they shape their future and present. For example, in my life I had two dogs that brought me astounding joy until one day the fence was broken and they got loose. They got away and I never found them again and there was a period in time where I was extremely sad, however I moved on and got a new dog but still remember them in everything I see my new dog do. There are moments where I go “aww that’s just like what fox would do.”
